The rules we work by
The terms here are samples the owner can change. Willa goes through them with you on the first call.
Keys, door codes and gates
Your parent decides how we get in: let in, a hidden key, a lockbox code or the gate list. Anything we hold is written in a log, kept apart from the address, and returned when you stop.
Cash, medicines and papers
We never hold cash, cards or pills, and do not read mail or open drawers. If something is in our way, we move it with your parent's say, and put it back.
If something is broken or missing
Tell us by text or phone. Willa answers the same business day, writes down what your parent and you remember, and goes through what happened with us. If we broke it, we replace it or pay for the repair, and we will tell you the cost before anything is done.
Cancelling a visit
Nothing up to 24 hours before. Later than that we bill half the quoted time. Willa waives it if there has been a fall or a hospital stay. You can stop standing visits by text.
When nobody answers
We call your parent, then the family contact, and wait ten minutes. We do not go in unless a key was left for exactly this.
Photos and privacy
We take no photos inside the home unless you ask for a room, and never of your parent. Notes go only to the family contact on the list.
The limits
What we do not do
Personal care
Bathing, dressing, medicines, meals or lifting a person.
Heavy or risky work
Heavy furniture, ladders, hoarded rooms, mold, pests or biohazards.
Errands and money
Shopping, driving, bills or cash.
Medical judgments
We tell you what we saw. You and the doctor decide what it means.
A question about any of this?
Ask Willa before you decide. She would rather you ask.
